PGGM as Employer

Terms of employment

Every colleague contributes to PGGM's success. We draw inspiration and energy from the diversity of our workforce, which comprises people from a wide range of backgrounds and spans no fewer than five different generations. We have a working environment, atmosphere and culture in which all employees feel at home and valued. Find out what you can expect when you apply for a job with us.

  • A full-time working week consists of 36 hours, which you are largely free to organise yourself. Working fewer hours may also be an option, depending on your role.

  • A competitive salary in line with PGGM’s collective labour agreement, commensurate with your knowledge and experience. Including 8% holiday pay and a thirteenth monthly salary payment.

  • At PGGM, we work flexibly, at the times and in the place that suit you best. We call this Working@PGGM. We encourage you to organise your working week effectively. This means that, in consultation with your team and manager, you decide the optimal mix for where and when you do your work. PGGM facilitates this by providing a good workspace both at the office and at home.

  • You receive a net monthly internet allowance of €45. Under our homeworking scheme, you can also apply for an allowance of up to €900 (including VAT) to set up a home office that meets health and safety requirements.

  • Twenty-seven days of holiday based on full-time employment. This consists of a fixed holiday entitlement (144 hours) and a personal P budget (70 hours). You can take your P budget as leave, use it in another way under our cafeteria plan (flexible benefits scheme), or have it paid out.

  • Under the cafeteria plan, you can exchange leave and/or pay for tax-efficient benefits such as a bicycle scheme, training, a relocation allowance or reimbursement of your travel expenses.

  • If you have been employed for at least three years, you can take between two and three months’ leave, during which PGGM will continue to pay 50% of your salary (vitality leave).

  • In the period up to your child’s 8th birthday, you are entitled to parental leave amounting to 26 times your weekly working hours. Of those 26 weeks, you can take 9 weeks as paid parental leave. In respect of those 9 weeks, PGGM supplements the benefit paid by the UWV (Dutch Employee Insurance Agency) to bring it up to 100% of your monthly salary. The remaining weeks are unpaid.

  • A ‘where you work’ budget under which you receive a flexible allowance based on your primary work location, and under which we reimburse 100% of the cost of second-class public transport. We pay an allowance of €0.23 per kilometre.

  • Once every four years, you can purchase a bicycle at a tax-efficient rate through the bicycle scheme.

  • If you travel by car, we have plenty of parking spaces in our own car park, which is equipped with charging stations for electric cars.

  • At PGGM, you have the option of swapping two public holidays each year. This means that you can swap specific public holidays for holidays that are important to you.

  • We attach great importance to commemorating the liberation of the Netherlands, which is why all employees have a day off on 5 May every year, rather than once every five years.

  • Boot camp sessions and yoga classes are organised regularly, and you are welcome to join in. You can arrange the loan of a city bike via reception and cycle through the beautiful, green areas of Zeist during your break. You will also receive a ‘Fit for the Future’ budget of €300 per year, which you can spend at your discretion on measures to improve your physical, mental or financial well-being.

  • A generous training and schooling budget for internal and external training courses and/or educational programmes.

  • A good pension scheme as a member of the PFZW pension fund (71% paid by PGGM, 29% by the employee).

  • PGGM has a group health insurance plan with CZ. If you take out a supplemental insurance policy with CZ, PGGM will compensate 60% of the contribution (gross).

  • You have access to all the facilities you need to do your job effectively, wherever you are, including a phone and a Microsoft Surface laptop.
