PGGM as Employer

Application procedure

Have you applied for a job at PGGM and are you wondering what the next steps are?

Let us walk you through our process.

1. Confirmation
You always receive an automatic confirmation email from PGGM as soon as you have submitted your application. So you know that we have received your job application.

2. Review
We carefully review your application and get back to you as soon as possible. Hopefully we see a good match and invite you in for an introductory meeting.

3. Interviews
Following a positive assessment of your application, you are invited to attend an initial interview. During this interview, you talk to two colleagues at PGGM. In most cases, the manager, the recruiter and/or an employee from the department to which the vacancy relates. If both we and you are enthusiastic after the first interview, a second interview will follow.

4. Assessment
Depending on the position, the application process may include an (online) assessment. If an assessment is part of the application process, we will state this in the job advertisement.

5. Offer
When we make you an offer, we send you a summary of the terms and conditions of employment that are appropriate for the position, your background and experience. There is always contact with the recruiter to explain the offer. Usually by phone, but sometimes at the office.

6. Welcome to PGGM
Once you have accepted our offer, we congratulate you on your new job! You are then given access to the PGGM online portal so that we can finalise all the arrangements for starting employment. Such as your employment contract and the choice of laptop. You can also find more information there about starting work at PGGM. You will receive the forms for starting the Pre-Employment Screening process by email.

7. Pre Employment Screening
We are legally required to perform an integrity review for all positions. During this process, we verify your identity, references and qualifications. We will also ask you to provide a Certificate of Good Conduct (Verklaring Omtrent Gedrag, VOG), the cost of which will, of course, be reimbursed. During the screening process, we also contact the employers you worked for during the past five years.

8. Your first day
One week before you start, you receive an invitation from us to attend the onboarding session. Your first day at work focuses on familiarisation. You can anticipate an inspiring and enjoyable first day, during which you will get to know PGGM as an employer, alongside all your other new colleagues. You will also pay a visit to our IT department straight away to collect your laptop and phone. We also show you around the office and tell you about what we do here at PGGM.
